Went all the wat to Hot Springs for the Ark Derby, and all I brought back is this few crummy pictures.

Yeah, they still got the great BBQ lunch. But they got no patrons. Racing patrons, anyhow.

Sort of a Pacific Northwest trip to visit family and friends. Stopped in at Emerald Downs on a rainy day. Got like three pix.

Went to Vancouver. Visited Hastings. Got one (1) pic. Had good visit with KG Dave T. Ate 1st class dinner at some dive little Chinese place afterwards. Had a hell of a time getting back across the border to my own country where I was born and raised. Much like it's no fun to fly anymore, it's also now no fun to visit the friendly neighbor to the north. Thanks a lot, DHS. Had good visit with high school friend on the way outta Dodge.

Me and McChump #2 got the right price on a condo near Del Mar for a week: free. Thanks, relative! So we went.
Many fine adventures were had, including day trip up to Long Beach to see USS Iowa. A week's worth of racing and adventures wore me out, though.

After San Diego we drove up to Vegas. The trip through the desert was kind of cool. But Vegas? Eh. The Fremont Street neon still rules, but it's the same neon. And the casino action was just plain boring. Thank goodness for some semi-interesting horse book action. But overall, this town is turning into snoozeville.
